What is Active Rehabilitation?
Active rehabilitation is a personalized exercise-based program designed to help individuals recover from injuries sustained in motor vehicle accidents, sports, work etc. At Balance Lab,our BCAK Registered Kinesiologists provide one-on-one sessions focused on restoring strength, mobility, and function.

How Active Rehabilitation Works
Each session begins with a comprehensive assessment of your physical function, followed by a customized exercise program tailored to your recovery needs. The goal is to safely and effectively restore movement, improve strength, and enhance overall well-being, allowing you to return to your daily activities with confidence.
ICBC Coverage
If you’ve been injured in a motor vehicle accident, ICBC pre-approves 12 active rehabilitation sessions within the first 12 weeks of your accident.
If additional sessions are needed beyond this period, we can assist in obtaining approval from your ICBC claims specialist.

Does ICBC cover active rehab?
Yes. Under ICBC Enhanced Care you can have up to 12 active rehab sessions with a kinesiologist in the first 12 weeks after a crash, with no referral and no ICBC approval needed. We bill ICBC directly.
